OCP

Summary

OCP Group is the world’s largest producer of phosphate — one of the essential nutrients that sustains life on earth and enables global food production. The strategic challenge was to reposition the organisation beyond its perception as a mining company, articulating a clearer purpose around its true impact: helping feed the world. Today, OCP operates in more than 160 countries and supplies materials that contribute to the fertilisation of crops feeding billions of people worldwide.

Scope

The brand transformation centred on defining a strong purpose, mission and cultural framework that aligned the organisation internally while reshaping how it communicates externally. This meant moving away from the technical and industry-heavy language typical of the sector, towards a more human narrative — one that highlights the farmers, communities and ecosystems that benefit from OCP’s work.

The repositioning reframed the company as an organisation that enriches lives by empowering agriculture and investing in long-term food security. From smallholder farmers across Africa to global agricultural systems, OCP’s role was communicated as part of a broader life cycle — supporting healthier soils, stronger harvests and more resilient communities. With access to around 70% of the world’s known phosphate reserves, OCP plays a critical role in supporting agricultural productivity at global scale.

A refreshed visual identity supported this shift, modernising the brand while expressing clarity, vitality and global relevance. The result was a cohesive brand platform that aligns OCP’s global leadership in phosphate with a clearer story about its role in sustaining life and enabling the future of food.

As global demand for sustainable agriculture continues to grow, OCP’s renewed brand narrative reflects both the scale of its operations and the responsibility it carries — positioning the company as a vital partner in the future of global food systems and in the continued development of Morocco as a centre for agricultural innovation. OCP today employs over 20,000 people globally and continues to invest heavily in research, innovation and farmer development programmes across Africa.
